Mission Statement:
The CIB promises full and comprehensive services in the areas of banking and financial services to all its customers, whether they are individuals, corporations, or financial institutions, each to suit his distinct and unique needs.
These services are provided by qualified and technically comprehensive staff who continually seek to achieve higher levels of performance which will enhance the reputation and increase profitability of the bank.
It is our policy to ensure that our services satisfy the requirements of all official agencies in Uganda.
Our staff is constantly striving to exceed all levels of performance with the aim of delighting, not merely satisfying our customers. Our utmost goal is to create an unbreakable bond with our clientele.
Next to all of this, we also try to reinforce the economical bond between Uganda and Egypt, in order to promote more competition.
History:
CIB was opened on 11/09/1995, with big and strong Egyptian banks i.e. Banque Du Caire, Bank of Alexandria, National Bank of Egypt, Bank Misr and Kato Aromatics SAE, as share holders. Kato Aromatics SAE is an Egyptian Company owned by Dr. Ibrahim Kamel, dealing in several businesses worldwide including developing an industrial park in Uganda to double as an export processing free zone area at Lwanyonyi-Mukono on Kampala - Jinja Road.
CIB has been growing rapidly to be one of the very few banks to stand the test of time.
We offer a number of banking services any bank can offer but with a difference in the customer personal touch we give our clients, with salary/pension earners' loan scheme, Cairo cash, and electronic prepaid master card, as part of our endless list of banking services.
